Charlie Morton picks up the win Game 3

by Brad Camara | Braves Correspondent | Thu, Oct 8th 6:13am EDT

Charlie Morton allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings in Wednesday’s 8-4 win over the Yankees in Game 3 of the ALDS.

Fantasy Impact:

Morton was sharp in Wednesday’s win, limiting the Yankees to two runs (one earned) over five innings of work. Most of the damage to Morton came in the fifth when he allowed a run scoring double to Yankees OF Aaron Hicks. The right-hander threw a total of 86 pitches, landing 55 for strikes. Morton will look to build on his performance in the ALCS if the Rays are able to advance past the Yankees.
