by Jon Mathisen | Thu, Oct 8th 12:25pm EDT

Eric Hosmer went 1-for-5 with a home run as the Padres fell to the Dodgers 6-5 in Game 2 of the NLDS on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Hosmer went back-to-back with Manny Machado in the top of the sixth inning when he took Clayton Kershaw deep to pull the Padres within one run. It was the first baseman's first long ball of the postseason. The 30-year old has struggled thus far in the playoffs with a .143 batting average to go along with a .507 OPS with a home run and four RBI over 21 at-bats.
