Trent Grisham picks up an RBI as Padres are swept in NLDS

by Jon Mathisen | Yankees Correspondent | Fri, Oct 9th 12:58pm EDT

Trent Grisham went 1-for-4 with an RBI single, a walk, and three strikeouts as the Padres were blown out by the Dodgers 12-3 in Game 3 of the NLDS. San Diego was swept in the series.

Fantasy Impact:

Grisham smacked an infield RBI single in the bottom of the second to score Wil Myers and put the Padres up 2-1. That would be the only lead the Padres would hold as the Dodgers offense took the game over after that. The 23-year old had a disappointing postseason with a .136/.296/.182 batting line with two RBI and 11 strikeouts over 22 at-bats. The former first-round pick flashed at times during the regular season and could be a big fantasy asset moving forward as the table setter for the potent Slam Diego offense. He'll need to work on lowering his 25.4-percent K rate, however.
