Diego Castillo allowed one walk while striking out four over two scoreless innings to pick up the win during Friday's 5-1 win in Game 5 of the ALDS. The Rays beat the Yankees 3-2 in the series.
Castillo entered the game in the eighth and was able to record the final six outs to seal the Rays win. Mike Brosseau took Aroldis Chapman deep in the eighth inning to give the Rays the go-ahead run and Castillo the win. The right-hander has yet to allow a run this postseason, posting a 0.00 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and seven strikeouts over four 2/3 innings. The Rays will take on the Astros in the ALCS for Game 1 on Sunday.
