Freddie Freeman: Braves want to extend the 1B

"He's (Freeman) someone that we plan on and expect to have him as a Brave for a long time, and he plans that as well," said Braves' GM Alex Anthopoulos. "Both sides want that to happen, want that to occur." Freeman had a terrific 2020 campaign, slashing .341/.462/.640 with 13 home runs, 53 RBI, 51 RBI and two stolen bases across 262 plate appearances. The 31-year-old 1B is under contract until the 2021 season. Both sides will work on a long-term extension during the off-season.
