Cody Bellinger goes yard in resounding Game 1 victory

by Jon Mathisen | Cubs Correspondent | Wed, Oct 21st 12:34am EDT

Cody Bellinger went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in the Dodgers 8-3 win over the Rays in Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Bellinger took Tyler Glasnow deep for a two-run bomb, his only hit of the night, in the fourth inning to open up the scoring and put the Dodgers on the board. He's smacked a long ball in back-to-back games now. In fact, the center fielder popped his shoulder out of its socket in his home run celebration in Game 7 of the NLCS but, thankfully, looked no worse for the wear. He's having the best postseason run of his young career with a .250/.357/.583 batting line to go along with four home runs and 12 RBI over 48 at-bats.
