Marcus Stroman has accepted the one-year, $18.9 million qualifying offer from the Mets. (Marcus Stroman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

"After watching the presser, I’m beyond excited to play for you sir. I could feel the excitement and passion you’re going to bring daily. Let’s go be great!" Stroman posted on his personal Twitter account. He then tagged new Mets owner Steve Cohen, who has seemingly already made an impact on the club's culture. Stroman missed the entire 2020 season due to a calf injury that ultimately led to him opting out, but he certainly helps fill out the rotation in Queens. The 29-year-old posted a 3.22 ERA in 184 1/3 innings back in 2019.
