Cotillo adds that Perez is in serious negotiations with at least one club. The 29-year-old had his $6.25 million club option rejected by the Red Sox at the start of the offseason, but it appears that he could sign elsewhere rather quickly. Perez posted a 4.50 ERA in 12 starts during the 2020 campaign.
