Stephen Drew connects for a home run in the Yankees victory
by Chris Zolli | Sat, Apr 4th 5:56pm EDT
Stephen Drew finished 1-for-2 with a two-run home run against the Nationals. Drew is hitting .259 this spring with three home runs and nine RBI.
Fantasy Impact:
Drew could be a cheap source of extra base hits from your MI position after a weak 2014 season. He had a woeful 2014 season after he missed the beginning of the season with a contract dispute; Drew averaged 62 extra base hits per 162 games from 2009-2013. Drew also had 50 extra base hits with the Red Sox in their World Series winning 2013; he may not be a must-add player, but could be a valuable option at 2B/SS this season. Drew has six extra base hits this spring and could easily top 45 extra base hits this season for the Yankees.
