LHP Drew Smyly signed a one-year, $11 million contract with the Braves on Monday. (Mark Feinsand on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

Smyly pitched well for Giants in 2020, posting a 3.42 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 42:9 K:BB over 26 1/3 innings. He will compete for a spot in the back end of the Braves' rotation. Staying healthy has been the biggest issue for the 31-year-old as he has missed two years of baseball (2017-2018) recovering from Tommy John surgery. If Smyly is able to build on his 2020 performance, the LHP could be a late-round flyer in 2021 fantasy drafts.
