Catcher Mitch Garver signed a one-year contract with the Twins on Wednesday to avoid arbitration, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. (Dan Hayes on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

After a breakout 2019 campaign that saw him bat .273 with 31 home runs in just 93 games, Garver batted .167 with two home runs in 23 games in 2020, limiting his leverage in arbitration. Garver isn't as good as he was in 2019 or as bad as he was in 2020, but the two extremes make him a difficult projection for 2021 in Minnesota.
