Alex Cobb to stay in Baltimore for 2021, per GM

by Jon Mathisen | Angels Correspondent | Wed, Dec 9th 12:38am EST

Alex Cobb "will draw interest" from other clubs but the "plan is for him to stick around for 2021," per Orioles general manager Mike Elias. (Jon Meoli on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It's possible the Orioles would like to keep Cobb around for his veteran presence but he is owed $15 million--the final year of a four-year contract he signed with Baltimore back in 2018--so a trade can't be ruled out. The 33-year old veteran posted a 4.30 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts over 52 1/3 innings (10 starts) in the 2020 season.
