Johnny Cueto will not pitch in the Dominican Winter League, according to Giants manager Gabe Kapler. (Alex Pavlovic on Twitter)

It was reported earlier this offseason that Cueto would pitch for the Estrellas Orientales of the Dominican League this winter, which would have been unusual for a player of his ilk. Kapler mentioned that Cueto pitched through some minor injuires so taking some time off to recover this offseason is a more prudent move.
