Bruce Bochy downplays Matt Cain's injury
by Jeff Krisko | Tue, Apr 7th 1:54am EDT
Cain will miss his start this week, but Bruce Bochy said Matt Cain's forearm tightness is not very serious, calling it a "two-week thing." (Henry Schulman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Dr. Bochy provides us with the straight medical analysis, but his statement is reassuring. Forearm tightness is usually a symptom of a UCL tear. UCL tears usually lead to Tommy John Surgery, which would put Cain out for the season and part of 2016. Cain hopes his bone spur procedure that ended his 2014 season puts him back on track to his pre-2013 form, and so do his owners.
