Eugenio Suarez Rumor: Nationals & Reds have discussed trade

Eugenio Suarez has been involved in trade discussions between the Nationals and the Reds, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Heyman emphasized that "nothing is imminent" and the talks aren't believed to be "anywhere close." Suarez is just a little over a a year removed from a 2019 campaign in which he belted 49 homers and drove in 103 runs but he struggled in 2020 to the tune of a .202/.312/.470 batting line. Heyman mentioned that former top-prospect Carter Kieboom would be an interesting piece if trade talks progressed. So far, nothing is set in stone but this situation is worth monitoring.
