Adam Wainwright Rumor: Royals showing an interest in the veteran FA

Fantasy Impact:
Morosi mentioned that the Royals "don't appear to be frontrunners to sign him" but there is interest due to Wainwright's ties to current Royals manager and former Cards manager Mike Matheny. Waino had a resurgent 2020 season in St. Louis, posting a 3.15 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and a 54:15 K/BB ratio across 65 1/3 innings (10 starts). It's likely the Cardinals would try and re-sign the veteran but KC would be a nice fit as well.
