Zack Greinke brilliant in no-decision

by Stan Son | Wed, Apr 8th 1:08am EDT

Zack Greinke pitched six innings of two hit ball Tuesday night against the San Diego Padres. He was unfortunate to not be in-line for the win as the earned run given up was due to Carl Crawford mis-playing a ball in left field and then the bullpen was not able to hold down the 2-1 lead. Greinke walked one and struck out four Padres. He threw 61 of his total 94 pitches for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Greinke was painting the corners and spotting the ball all night. The lack of strikeouts is a concern but at the end of the year the total should be around 200 Ks if healthy. Greinke has historically dominated the Padres, but if he pitches like Tuesday night, he will dominate most teams.
