Free agent catcher Curt Casali signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the San Francisco Giants. (Alex Pavlovic on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Casali had a solid 2020 season with the Reds when he posted a .224/.366/.500 batting line with six home runs and eight RBI over 76 at-bats. He was non-tendered by the Cincinnati during the offseason and is now the likely candidate to backup Buster Posey in San Francisco. This also means that top-prospect Joey Bart will probably start 2021 in the minors.
