Casey Mize will have a chance to compete for Tigers rotation spot

"We'll see how it goes," Avila elaborated. "Right now I can't tell you if both of them will make the club or if one of them. But they'll have a chance." Skubal is an exciting prospect in his own right, but Mize was the No. 1 overall pick from the 2018 draft. He went on to register a disappointing 6.99 ERA in seven big league starts in 2020. Both of these young hurlers should be on your end-of-draft radar due to upside alone.
