Andrew Benintendi rumor: Red Sox in 'serious trade talks'

The Athletic's Jim Bowden reports the Red Sox are in "serious trade talks with multiple teams" in regards to dealing OF Andrew Benintendi. (Jim Bowden on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Bowden adds that Boston is looking for a prospect in return, specifically a pitcher or an outfielder. He also adds that "nothing is imminent" regarding a trade. Benintendi appeared in just 14 games this summer and hit a paltry .103/.314/.128. He also had a down season in 2019, so his shine as an up-and-coming star has faded. Still just 26 years old, it wouldn't be a complete surprise for Benintendi to have a rebound season in 2021, regardless of where he ends up.
