Brett Anderson settles down after serving up home run to Goldschmidt

by Stan Son | Fri, Apr 10th 11:44pm EDT

Brett Anderson pitched a solid six innings in his Dodgers debut. The only blemish was in the third inning when he gave up a huge three-run homer to Paul Goldschmidt. He walked one and struck out four. 66 of 94 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Anderson's fastball topped out at 89 mph and the curveball was in the 75 mph range. Location wasn't that great as he kept throwing his curveball high. The Goldschmidt home run was on a first-pitch fastball after he allowed two consecutive hits on his curveball. Anderson is not going to strike out many batters. He could be a serviceable streaming option, though, with the possibility for wins and decent ERA/WHIP help.
