Edwin Jackson throws two scoreless innings in relief

by Nathaniel Schwartz | Sat, Apr 11th 12:46am EDT

Starting pitcher Travis Wood got roughed up early and had to be pulled before the end of the 5th inning, leading to a train of relievers that ended in Edwin Jackson throwing a scoreless seventh and eighth. Jackson struck out two and only gave up one hit with no walks.

Fantasy Impact:

Edwin Jackson had a horrific 2014 as a starter, but looked really solid in his first game of the season. If he continues to strikeout batters then he might be of use in league play, but the real question is whether or not he will get enough in game action as long relief.
