Elvis Andrus traded to the Athletics for Khris Davis

The Rangers traded SS Elvis Andrus, C Aramis Garcia and cash to the Athletics in exchange for DH/OF Khris Davis, C Jonah Heim and and RHP Dane Acker. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

Andrus will head to Oakland where he will be the team’s starting shortstop replacing Marcus Semien, who signed with the Blue Jays in the offseason. The 32-year-old is under contract through 2022 and will be owed $28.5 million. Andrus struggled in 2020, slashing .194/.252/.330 across 111 plate appearances. A change of scenery might help Andrus’ fantasy value and he’ll look to rebound after a disappointing 2020 campaign.
