Brett Gardner batted lead-off for the Yankees on Saturday with Jacoby Ellsbury getting the day off. Gardner finished the contest 1-for-4 with a run scored.
Fantasy Impact:
After a very slow spring, Brett Gardner is starting to produce better at-bats for the Yankees. Gardner is hitting .235 on the young season with a home run, an RBI, four runs scored and has a respectable .381 OBP. Gardner is yet to steal a base, which is a strong point in his game, but will produce solid numbers across the board for his owners. He should be started in season-long leagues in almost all circumstances.
