Dee Strange-Gordon will get opportunities at shortstop

by Andersen Pickard | Wed, Feb 17th 1:36pm EST

Veteran infielder Dee Strange-Gordon is expected to see time at shortstop this spring. Manager David Bell confirmed on Wednesday that "he'll get opportunities" at the position. (C. Trent Rosecrans on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Strange-Gordon, 32, is a two-time All-Star and two-time MVP finalist. He has primarily patrolled second base, appearing at the position in 728 career games, and has graced the shortstop position just 16 times over the past seven seasons. Nevertheless, after finding a new home in Cincinnati, he will once again get to try his hand at the position which he was drafted to play. The former fourth-round pick earned an invitation to Spring Training after slashing just .200/.268/.213 in 33 games with the Mariners last year.
