Fantasy Impact:

Scherzer sprained his ankle a couple of weeks ago and is holding off from mound work for now. Washington is playing it safe with him but it's a great sign that he felt okay following Monday's workout. Scherzer wasn't "as dominant" in 2020 as he has been in the past, but he remained a highly effective starting pitcher for fantasy purpose. Entering the final season of his seven-year, $215 million contract with the Nationals, Scherzer should have zero workload limitations so long as he remains healthy.
