Corey Knebel expected to pitch in high-leverage role, per Dave Roberts

Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Corey Knebel, who was acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers via trade this offseason, is expected pitch in high-leverage situations this season, per manager Dave Roberts who was speaking with reporters on Thursday. (Alden Gonzalez on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

Knebel isn't too far removed from being a dominant closer for the Brewers back in 2017 and 2018 but he sat out the entire 2019 as he recovered from Tommy John surgery and struggled with a 6.08 ERA over 13 1/3 innings with the Brewers last year. It's a surprising comment from Roberts given the embarrassment of riches the Dodgers possess in their bullpen. Blake Treinen, Brusdar Graterol, Victor Gonzalez, and Kenley Jansen all figure to work high-leverage situations as well so this will eventually work itself out. With that said, Knebel is still a name to keep an eye on as the season approaches, especially in NSVH leagues.
