Free agent pitcher Jesse Chavez has agreed to a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, which includes an invite to Spring Training, per Jon Heyman of MLB Network. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Chavez put up a subpar 6.88 ERA and 1.59 WHIP over 17 relief innings with the Rangers last season but this is a low-risk signing by the Angels. If he performs well in Spring he should make the final roster and boost the Angels' bullpen depth.
