Jose Abreu, who produced a positive COVID-19 test earlier this week, has returned to White Sox camp on Saturday, per James Fegan of The Athletic. (James Fegan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Abreu produced the positive test during the intake process but was asymptomatic, according to White Sox GM Rick Hahn. The presence of antibodies in additional testing likely means he contracted the virus at some point before camp began. He did have "mild" symptoms back in January. All seems to be well now and the reigning AL MVP should be good to go for opening day. He will once again bat smack dab in the middle of one of the most formidable lineups in baseball.
