Javier Baez prefers to work out a long-term deal with Cubs

Javier Baez says that he'll "probably" put a deadline on extension talks for the end of spring training. He also added that his preference is to work out a long-term deal with the Cubs. (Patrick Mooney on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Baez is part of a loaded shortstop free agent class following 2021. With the Cubs seemingly set for a rebuild it'll be interesting to see how aggressively they pursue Baez. Kris Bryant is also a free agent at year's end.
