Marco Gonzales throws two innings in spring training start Sunday

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Marco Gonzales threw two innings Sunday against the Padres, allowing one (unearned) run on two hits with one walk.

Fantasy Impact:

The run was scored on a throwing error by second baseman Dylan Moore. Gonzales was named the opening day starter for the third straight season, coming off an impressive 2020 campaign where the Gonzaga product registered a 3.10 ERA. He is not going to be a heavy strikeout pitcher, but will continue to work quickly and efficiently.
