Austin Martin could get some reps in the outfield this spring

Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo says top prospect Austin Martin could see some outfield reps this spring. (Keegan Matheson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Montoyo added that Martin will start taking some fly balls in the coming days. The No. 5 overall pick from the 2020 draft, Martin played third base in college but was drafted as a shortstop. The Blue Jays have a plethora of position-player talent in the big leagues already so it makes sense for Martin to try his hand at different positions. His bat should progress quickly through the minors.
