Kole Calhoun (knee) has meniscus tear, will undergo procedure on Wednesday

by Jon Mathisen | Tue, Mar 2nd 6:28pm EST

Kole Calhoun, who had an MRI earlier on Tuesday, was diagnosed with a right knee meniscus tear. He will undergo a partial medial meniscectomy procedure on Wednesday, according to D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo. (Steve Gilbert on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Calhoun was initially sent in for the MRI due to inflammation in his right knee but a meniscus tear is more serious. As of now there's no time table for Calhoun's recovery but is seems unlikely that he'll be available for Opening Day. Stay tuned for an update on his status.
