Framber Valdez (finger) took a line drive off his hand during his Spring Training outing on Tuesday. After being evaluated by doctors on Wednesday, the injury was declared serious and will keep Valdez out for a while. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This is a tough blow for Valdez and the Astros. As of now, there is not a specific timeline for Valdez's return, other than the notion that he'll be out for "a while." Valdez pitched well in 2020, winning five games in 70.2 innings pitched with 76 strikeouts and a 3.57 ERA.
