Fantasy Impact:

It's unclear what the medical issue was, though manager Alex Cora did address the situation on Thursday, saying, “They found something medically that we have to take care of. It’s actually not baseball-related. It’s actually personal. So I’ll leave it at that. We’re hoping everything is fine.” Nevertheless, the fact that Casas was able to rejoin the team is an encouraging sign. Casas, 21, is Boston's top prospect. The left-handed-hitting first baseman slashed .256./350/.480 with 20 home runs and 81 RBI over 120 games in 2019.
