Archer threw a light bullpen session on Wednesday and will throw in Saturday’s intrasquad game. He underwent surgery in June for thoracic outlet syndrome and hasn’t pitched in a game since August 2019. The 32-year-old will continue to ramp up his activity with the hopes of being ready by Opening Day. Archer is currently 162nd among all pitchers in the latest expert consensus draft rankings.
