Jon Lester could re-join the Nationals next week

Lester had a thyroid gland removed on Wednesday and is feeling well enough to rejoin the Nationals early next week. It’s unclear exactly when Lester will re-join the Nationals rotation, but the veteran LHP should return to action soon. Lester struggled in 2020, owning a 5.16 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP for the Cubs last season.
