Washington Nationals relief pitcher Tanner Rainey, who's been dealing with a muscle strain near his collarbone since the beginning of camp, is slated to throw a bullpen session on Monday, per Nats GM Mike Rizzo. (Mark Zuckerman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is a good sign for Rainey as there's still time to get ramped up before Opening Day. The 28-year-old right-hander put up a good year with Washington last season when he logged a 2.66 ERA, 0.74 WHIP, and 32:7 K/BB ratio with nine holds over 20 1/3 innings. He'll likely serve as a bridge to closer Brad Hand to begin the season.
