Astros manager Dusty Baker says pitching prospect Forrest Whitley will undergo Tommy John surgery. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
As expected. Whitley dealt with arm soreness at the start of spring training, which ultimately led to today's announcement. It's another brutal blow for a player who was once considered the No. 1 pitching prospect in baseball. Whitley won't pitch at any level until midway through the 2022 campaign. He can be dropped outside of the deepest of dynasty leagues.
