Amir Garrett (forearm) throwing live BP on Wednesday

Cincinnati Reds LHP Amir Garrett, who hasn't pitched this spring due to left forearm soreness, is throwing a live BP on Wednesday. (Bobby Nightengale on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Garrett has been playing catch on flat ground but has yet to to appear in a Cactus League game. If all goes well with the BP session on Wednesday then he could begin throwing in games as early as this weekend. He should be ready for Opening Day, barring any setbacks. He was the favorite to take the Reds' closer job heading into camp and if he can get back on track he should still win the gig. The southpaw put up a stellar 2.45 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 26:7 K/BB ratio over 18 1/3 innings last season.
