Carlos Carrasco diagnosed with right hamstring tear

by Matt Flipi | Guardians Correspondent | Thu, Mar 18th 8:04pm EDT

Carlos Carrasco suffered a high grade tear to his right hamstring when pitching a sim game on Thursday. He will likely be out 6-8 weeks at a minimum. (Mike Puma on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

After progressing well over the past week with elbow soreness, this will certainly be a tough pill for Carrasco to swallow. Carrasco is still a very good pitcher when healthy, and he is still worth drafting in the later rounds of drafts. The Mets likely won't rush him back, so be sure to consider that he could be on your IL spot for a while. Joey Lucchesi will likely take Carrasco's place in the rotation.
