Eloy Jimenez will be out for 5-6 months with a ruptured left pectoral tendon, according to general manager Rick Hahn. The injury will require surgery. (Scott Merkin on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This is rough news for the White Sox and Jimenez, as it seems the White Sox slugger will miss most, if not all, of the 2021 season. There is no word yet on who will replace Jimenez in the White Sox outfield. Considering the length of time Jimenez is projected to be out, this injury probably only makes him draftable in keeper and dynasty leagues with multiple IL spots.
