Christian Vazquez (eye) suffered a left eye injury in batting practice

According to Red Sox beat reporter Ian Browne, Christian Vazquez got hit by a ball and suffered a left eye injury in batting practice. Red Sox spokesperson Justin Long noted Vazquez "suffered an eye contusion and laceration under his left eye." (Ian Browne on Twitter)

Red Sox manager Alex Cora will provide an update later on Christian Vazquez. Hopefully, this doesn't cause him to miss time as one of the top producing catchers in 2019 and 2020. Over the past two seasons, Vazquez ranked top-5 in home runs, runs, RBI, and steals amongst catchers with at least 500 PA.
