The Angels have released right-hander Jesse Chavez. He was in camp as a non-roster invite. (Bernie Pleskoff on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Chavez, 37, owns a 4.52 ERA over 481 games (79 starts). He has spent 13 years in the majors with nine teams. He allowed seven runs through just 4.1 innings of work this spring, walking three and striking out just two. Those are poor numbers, but perhaps his longevity in baseball will earn him a minors deal elsewhere.
