Los Angeles Dodgers RHP Tony Gonsolin is moving to the bullpen, along with LHP David Price, as Dustin May will begin the season as the team's fifth starter, manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Monday. (Mike DiGiovanna on Twitter)
The Dodgers tend to baby their younger pitchers so there's no chance that Dustin May remains the fifth starter for the entire season. Gonsolin and Price should both get their fair share of starts throughout the year but this does put a damper on their fantasy value in the interim. Gonsolin was excellent during the shortened 2020 season when he put up a 2.31 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and 46:7 K/BB ratio over 46 2/3 innings (eight starts).
