Fantasy Impact:

Brasier suffered the calf strain while pitching in the Red Sox B-Game on Monday. Brasier will likely be out for a few weeks, and it's unlikely he starts the year on the Opening Day roster. Brasier had a 3.96 ERA in 25 appearances for Boston in 2020. He will likely slot in behind Matt Barnes when he makes his return to the bullpen. Unless Barnes were to go down, Brasier likely won't receive many save opportunities this season, but could tally a decent holds total. That being said, Boston will also lean on new addition Adam Ottavino late in tight games as well. Until he's healthy, he's likely not worth a roster spot in most leagues.
