Stephen Vogt smacks a solo bomb in opener
by Jon Mathisen | Thu, Apr 1st 8:19pm EDT
Stephen Vogt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a pair of strikeouts in the Diamondbacks 8-7 loss to the Padres on Thursday's Opening Day.
Fantasy Impact:
Vogt started behind the dish while catching starter Madison Bumgarner. Vogt capped off a six-run fifth inning by Arizona when he clocked a solo home run, the fourth HR of the inning, off reliever Tim Hill. It was his only hit of the game. Vogt won't have much fantasy use this year with Carson Kelly starting the majority of games at catcher.
