Trevor Bauer flirts with a no-hitter on Friday

by Jon Mathisen | Sat, Apr 3rd 10:43am EDT

Trevor Bauer picked up the win on Friday after surrendering four runs on three hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks over 6 1/3 innings in the Dodgers 11-6 victory over the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact:

Based on the box score it may not look like Bauer had a no-hitter through six innings but he did. He scuffled in the seventh inning after Trevor Story broke up the no-hit bid with a single before Charlie Blackmon cracked a two-run shot. Bauer then walked C.J. Cron and allowed another two-run dinger to Ryan McMahon before whiffing Garrett Hampson and finally being removed from the game. He lost his quality start but picked up the win. It was a disappointing end to Bauer's Dodgers debut but he showed his immense upside through six innings of impressive work. He should have an easier time on the bump in his next start in the spacious RingCentral Coliseum vs. the A's.
