Edwards Jr. spent spring training with the Braves, where he posted a 1.08 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP over 8.1 innings pitched. Edwards Jr. ultimately decided to exercise his opt-out prior to the start of the 2021 season, but will return to the Braves on a minor league deal. Edwards Jr. will look to earn a spot in a talented Braves bullpen as the season progresses.
