Julio Urias picked up the win vs. the Rockies on Sunday when he surrendered just one run on three hits with six strikeouts and one walk over seven innings in the Dodgers 4-2 win.
Urias was dominant from the outset on Sunday, needing only 79 pitches--59 strikes--to quiet the Rockies' bats through seven innings of work. His only "mistake" was a leadoff single to Ryan McMahon in the eighth inning, which prompted Dave Roberts to remove him from the game. McMahon would later come around to score after Garrett Hampson laced a double off of Urias' replacement, Jimmy Nelson. The 24-year-old southpaw gets the Nationals at home his next turn. He could be in line for a big season.
